Starting Up
NOTE: Before starting, the 30 second shot cable (and the set of goal pegs) must be picked up at the Panorama front desk.
  1. Ensure that the power switch (right side, near the back of the console) is in the "off" position.
  2. Toggle the running time switch ON

    to the "off" position.
  3. Ensure that the 30 second cable is attached (left side panel, near the front of the console).
  4. Toggle the console's power switch to the "on" position.
  5. Receive the console message...

Setting Time and Period
NOTE: Unless instructed otherwise by the referees, all periods shall be 20 minutes in duration and all warmups and intermissions shall be 5 minutes in duration.
  1. Toggle the running time switch ON

Timing a Period
  1. Ensure that the period time and number have been set properly.
  2. Ensure that the 30 second clocks are reset to "30".
  3. Ensure that the penalty time is set appropriately...
    1. If no penalties currently in effect...
      Ensure that penalty time is "off" by entering PNLTY
      ON
      OFF

      and receiving the console message...

      TIME   OFF

       
    2. OR if penalties are carrying over from previous period...
      Ensure that penalty time is "on" by entering PNLTY
      ON
      OFF

      and receiving the console message...

      TIME   ON

       
  4. As soon as the referee whistles play to start,
    toggle the running time switch ON
    - - - -
    OFF
    to the "on" position.
  5. When the clock counts down to zero, the horn will sound (and continue to sound) until the running time switch is toggled ON

    to the "off" position.
NOTE: Unless instructed otherwise by the referees, all periods should be straight running time except for the last five minutes of the third period and there are five or fewer goals separating the two teams. This means that the only time the clock is stopped is
  • for a referee timeout (due to injury, equipment problem, team timeout, etc.)
  • during a play stoppage in the last five minutes of a close game.

Timing an Intermission
  1. Ensure that the intermission time has been set properly.
  2. Ensure that the 30 second shot clocks have been disabled by entering
    SET
    MISC.

  3. Ensure that the penalty time is "off" by entering PNLTY
    ON
    OFF

    and receiving the console message...

  4. Toggle the running time switch ON

  5. When the clock counts down to zero, the horn will sound (and continue to sound) until the running time switch is toggled ON

  1. To set the home (or guest) score...
